Henry Bishop – Pet Care Associate since June, 2017
Hello! My name is Henry Bishop. I have always had the biggest passion for animals ever since I can remember. Now that I am older, being able to work with all kinds of animals is so fulfilling for me. I have worked for an animal shelter before and enjoyed every minute of it. Working as an Associate now is just as rewarding.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BS in Biology. My plan is to become a Physician Assistant and also work with animals on a more exotic level. My dream job is to work with sea turtles!
Working for Odds & Ends is where I can provide the best of my abilities to care for pets when clients need it! I strive to provide the greatest satisfaction for each client and to make sure each pet I care for receives the best care possible!
Nick Pasley – Pet Care Associate since November, 2018
Hello! My name is Nick Pasley. I am proud to be a Pet Care Associate with Odds & Ends, LLC.
I have a bachelor’s degree in English from Kennesaw State University and I am currently working to become a nurse (BSN-RN) at my alma mater. I live in the Allatoona Community area near Acworth and Emerson and absolutely love the area. I have had many pets throughout my life and currently have two dogs of my own and a sweet lovable cat named Sheldon that I raised as a newborn.
I also have experience with chickens and think they are great pets.
When it comes to dogs, I tend to be a natural dog trainer and have a special interest in dog obedience. I am also a plant lover and have a special interest in native species plants. One of my hobbies is plant spotting.
I love working as a Pet Care Associate because I love working with animals and it is rewarding to be appreciated by my clients for the service that I provide.
Kelly Furlong – Pet Care Associate since December, 2018
I was born and raised in Georgia. I grew up with a house full of various animals, from horses to tree frogs, and nothing much has changed in my adulthood. Actually, my first job was at the local veterinary hospital to help pay off our never-ending bill. I am a mother of three beautiful children. My son is 15 and my daughters are 9 and 5 years old. We, currently, have a Rocky Mountain gelding who has the mentality of a puppy, a black Labrador, five cats (one who is approximately 22 years of age and she is still very spunky and spry) and a 55 gallon tank of various fresh water fish.
I worked as a 911/Police/EMS operator in the metro Atlanta area for over 10 years. I decided to follow my heart and return to working with animals and it has been, by far, the best decision I have ever made. I volunteered as a mentor, with the aid of horses, for emotionally troubled children who had come from abusive homes or bullying situations. I also worked as a ranch hand at the same farm, working with three horse herds (where my horse boarded), donkeys, cats, dogs and chickens. My dream was to go back into the veterinary field. I worked as a veterinary nurse/veterinary technician for over four years.
Although, I truly loved working in the veterinary field, I was missing out on very important events and memories with my children due to long shifts and unpredictable emergencies. Caring for animals, being a mother, and loving animals and my children are the reason I was put on this on this earth; through this amazing company, I am getting to live my dream and fulfill my purpose!
Karley Thorn – Pet Care Associate since October, 2019
Hi my name is Karley Thorn! I was born and raised in northwest Alabama with my 3 sisters. Growing up we always had pets, mostly cats but some dogs here and there also. I believe being surrounded by animals since infancy has contributed to my love and passion for animals.
Currently I have 3 cats and 1 dog, a Shiba Inu. I moved to Cartersville a year after I married my husband who was my best friend growing up. I’ve pet sat throughout the majority of my life so working for a company like Odds & Ends is pretty perfect.
Throughout the years I’ve taken care of a wide variety of animals. I have experience with dogs, chickens, ducks, horses, hermit crabs, geckos, and of course cats. I love being able to work with animals and provide the best care possible and it fulfills that passion I’ve had my whole life.
Carolyn Smith – Pet Care Associate since December, 2019
I am a decorated retired Army veteran and a licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Georgia with over three years of specialty focused experience working in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
I have degrees in both Human Resource Management and Veterinary Technology. I recently joined Odds & Ends so that I can dedicate more time to my family and volunteering in programs that directly support Paulding County residents in need.
During my years working in veterinary medicine I have gained a wide range of experience handling exotic pets, birds, horses, donkeys, various farm animals, our beloved cats and dogs, and even a wide range of wildlife. I am looking to forward meeting each of my furry, feathered, or scaled friends as they become a part of the Odds & Ends pet care family.
Michele Cascone – Pet Care Associate since December, 2019
Hi, my name is Michele Cascone. I was born and raised in Forest Hills, New York. I moved down to Georgia with my family when I was in my early 20’s.
I have been married to my husband for over 30 years and we have two adult children.
I have always been an animal lover, especially rescues. I have grown up with dogs but later in life started rescuing cats of which I have three.
When my children were young, we raised everything from fish, to gerbils, guinea pigs and a bearded dragon.
Being a Pet Care Associate for Odds & Ends is so rewarding to me. Not only do I get to spend my time with all different animals, both big and small, but I would like to think I give clients peace of mind that their pets are in good loving hands when they are away.
Linda Crist – Owner of Odds & Ends, LLC since January, 2013
I’m Linda Crist, the proud owner of Odds & Ends, LLC.
My Family always had various types of pets throughout my life. Caring for them and bonding with their unconditional love, loyalty, and individual personalities was and is both enjoyable and rewarding.
It is this love for animals, combined with a Masters in Business Administration and 28 years of work in a corporate environment, that helped give me the courage and provide some background experience to open the business.
We have been blessed with steady growth since we opened our doors and look forward to many more years of serving our clients and community!
Making Life Easier – this is our slogan and our mission; to work hard every single day in providing unmatched quality pet care through reliable, honest, and professional services for each and every client and each and every pet.
